Grade 6 FLIGHT

Students in our Grade 6 classes will be engaged in a variety of learning opportunities as they will investigate ways in which flying devices make use of properties of air; assess the societal and environmental impacts of flying devices that make use of properties of air; and explain ways in which properties of air can be applied to the principles of flight and flying devices throughout the Flight unit of study.

  1. I am very excited about our flight unit and i was wonderng if we will be doing any other exciting things about properties of air. I want a little heads up if possible, to prepare for upcoming activities and assignments. Kaiden

  2. The Flight Unit is still in its early stages of introduction as we are gaging what students know or "think they know" and then engage everyone in a variety of learning experiences such as digital field trips, experiments, focus group discussions and online dialogue through this blog. Updates will be shared in class of upcoming events or tasks or through this blog. Thank you for sharing and keep up the enthusiasm.

  3. Just like Kaiden I am also very excited about the air and flight unit because it to be able to fly is so cool I’m looking forward to the field trip to Donswiew Park. Are we going to have any more scientists in our school? Josh
